CCS Device Request Link

As we prepare to return to school in an online environment, every K-12 Cumberland County Schools (CCS) student will need a laptop and internet access in order to complete assignments, participate in instruction, and collaborate and learn with others.

We are asking all families with a student in grades K-12 to fill out a survey indicating device needs for each student, regardless of your school, whether you have applied to the Virtual Academy, whether you have a device or whether you need a device.

Please click the link above to take the survey.

As the COVID-19 pandemic looms and the start of a new school year approaches on August 17, we are giving you the chance to decide how your child will be educated during the 2020-2021 school year based on what’s best for your family. This week, our Board of Education approved three plans for the opening of schools: Plan A – Traditional Face-to-Face Learning with Minimal Social Distancing; Plan B – Blended-Remote and Face-to-Face Learning; and Plan C – Total Remote Learning. We understand that Governor Cooper will give his official guidance for reopening school next week. Please know that based on his announcement, our proposed plans are subject to change. But, if the Governor selects Plan B — Blended-Remote and Face-to-Face Learning — it will require you to choose one of three options for your child’s learning experience next year. Detailed information about the options are on the CCS Website. Our re-entry enrollment period, where you will decide what option is best for your child, is open from July 13- 19. Again, please visit the CCS Re-Entry Plan for details.

Do not get out of your vehicle, please. There will be staff there to assist in this process. We are trying diligently to keep entry into the building at a minimum as to respect the health and well being of all parties involved. Instruments have been delivered designated areas and have been labeled accordingly. Lockers have been emptied in an effort to maintain our social distancing and small gatherings. If your child has medication to pick up, there will also be staff here to accommodate your needs.
